Kettle: Salt and Vinegar chip problem --> SOLVED!

After being disappointed on a weekly basis by Walmart and Target's lack of my desired chips, it finally dawned on me to look at the internet. Specifically Amazon.com. This lovely site does have a grocery store set up with automatic delivery. I tried this about a year ago with a drink my children insisted on buying at school for .75 a pop, and was able to score them on Amazon for much, much, much less. Anyway, I digress... I poked in my favorite chip name and VIOLA! They had them!! And if I signed up for the subscription they were only 2.50 a bag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  They are $2.78 at Walmart -- $2.98 at Target. SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I put myself on a 2 month delivery. That should definitely sustain my addiction... And then a couple days later a FedEx van pulled into my driveway. A package!! What could it be??!?!?

OH.MY.SALT.AND.VINEGARY.GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I will never, EVER run out!!!!!!  Until C#1 got home and spied all that yummy goodness. So, alas, I just might have to share. *sniff sniff*

Another most excellent thing about these lovely bags, is the expiration date is September 2012. Whooottt!! I love longggggg expiration dates.  And now I love Amazon.com, too.

This weekend was the April birthday party bash. C#1 was celebrating, as was my Mom. Let the partying commence! When my Mom opened her gift, we were both surprised to find not one, but two lovely gifties! Who knew it was a buy one get one free?!?!

That means I get one, too!!!

I love the sentiment "I'll Cook, If You'll Clean." I wish!!!!! Normally it's, "I'll cook and no wait, please, please let me clean, too." Thankfully C#1 and C#2 will unset the table, but, when dinner isn't at the table most dishes get left on the counter. Has anyone heard of this snazzy new machine?!??!?!

A dishwasher?!?!?!? Anyone?!?!?! (This one isn't mine.... Same color, different brand.) What is the problem with putting your dishes IN the dishwasher?!?!?!?

Okay, okay.... I am ranting. I will stop now.

Well that's it for today. Till next time....

THE ATTACK OF THE NEPHEWS!!!!!!!!!!! (And I mean that in a totally loving way.)

Two of my many nephews will be over to visit today... Oh! And their mother, my sister. What to do, what to do with 2 boys under the age of 4?!?  I am reluctant to "baby proof" my house, since 1. C#1 and C#2 are old enough and don't need to much "proofing.", 2. I don't want to have to find everything that I had to hide, put away, clean up and the biggest reason being 3. I am just plan lazy.

I am hoping that this will help keep them happy:

And then I got a message from my sis. She told the oldest that they were going to Aunt Becky's house and this was his reply,""HAHAHAH (scary/crazy excited laugh) That is so amazing, I can't wait to play this those trailer truckers!"

I might be the "old, cranky" aunt, but, I still know what will make them happy! And I am thankful that C#1 hasn't decided to get rid of his miscellaneous toys. That makes it a zillion times easier for everyone (mostly me.)

In the theme of being lazy, I decided to "reinvent" the leftovers. I made soup two nights ago and it was like a thick chowder. It has now turned into "Spanish Rice." I was going to add some chicken stock to it, but, after taste testing it, decided not to, because it tasted justttttttttttttt right.

Grab a piece of buttered bread and scoop some of this deliciousness on it and it will be a win!  Now I just have to think of a semi-healthy dessert to make. Hmmmmmm....

And after the reappearance of winter yesterday, I am happy to say that this is about all that is left:

Of course, it's cold out and C#1 insists it's not. I was like, "It's snowing." C#1, "No it isn't!!" And back and forth. You get the gist. It was, flurrying a little at the time.  He wore a coat, but, he wasn't happy about it. Kids these days.

Well that's it for now. Till next time.....

Monday, April 23, 2012

And then there was a two hour delay.

After getting everyone out the door, I looked at the clock and wondered why the children were still outside getting drenched in the rain. I finally looked up closings on the internet. Lo and behold there was a two hour delay.  C#1 and C#2 were more than happy to come in chill for two more hours.

And it still looks like this outside:

The snow plow came up the road about an hour ago.  It is currently snaining (snow/rain.)

In an effort to make the time go by faster, we turned on the TV. C#1 and C#2 wanted to watch "Phineas and Ferb."  I vetoed that idea after watching it for two seconds.  I didn't really want to melt my brain this early in the morning.  Soooooo, I decided on "The Parent Trap." The old one. This movie has always been one of my favorites.

The lovely children will be getting on the bus in an hour, unless they get a snow day. Which I don't foresee happening.

Okay that's it for now. Till next time...

Good Morning! It's winter. Again.

They said it might happen. But, everyone I spoke with said, "No, no nooooooooooooo... It's going to go more north, south, east west." Well it didn't go north, south, east or west. It plunked down, front and center. Of course this was at 5:15 a.m. and it does sound like it is melting in a hurry.  I thought we were going to be spared this torture. And that, my friends, is what sucks about having summer in March. It was a rotten tease!

Yesterday, we decided to head out after church and ended up going to Sam's (my favorite store of ALL time!) And we bought some Ciabatta rolls. So instead of wasting all sorts of money at a restaurant we headed home and made sandwiches. They must be God's gift to sandwiches, because they were great! I was bad and didn't get any picture of the final product, but, just trust me -- GREAT!  This isn't the first time I've had it, but, it still amazes me.

And since we were in a bread buying mood, I was searching out this focaccia bread. It wasn't in it's normal artsy fartsy artisan basket, but, that is why it was good the lovely hubby was there. He spotted the table where they were wheelin' and dealin' free samples and, alas, there it was. Crisis averted!  Now I just have to decide how to eat it. Just plain is fantastic, but, so is focaccia pizza. Choices, choices....

Anddddddddddddddd strawberries must be in season in California, cuz they had 2 pound containers for a whopping $4.28. Um yeah! I was all over that!! As you can see there is a serious dent from C#2. She loves, lovessssssssssssssssssssss strawberries. Almost as much as I do..

This movie was recommended to me by a FB friend and I must say I really enjoyed it. It's about a man who is diagnosed with cancer in his late 20's and how he and his best friend deal with the situation.  This movie was very touching and I found myself fighting tears, in a few spots. I know, I want to be like his best friend, except maybe not so crass and foul and all that other stuff. But, that certainly made the movie funny.  But, for you sensitive people out there, BE WARNED!  It's rated "R" for a reason.

Anywhoooo. That is it for this morning. I started early, so who knows what the day will bring.

Till next time....

Farm Fresh Eggs and a Beggar Cat

I got some excellent eggs from my BFF and decided to make my normal fried eggs breakfast this morning.

So far, so good. Nothing sticking and they are frying up nicely.  But, we all know how things can go south in a matter of seconds!  And thennnnnnnnnnnnnn.....

Viola! Perfect eggs onto the plate! I'm not sure how they worked so well. The freshness, or maybe it was my watching, waiting, petting, you know my normal nicey nice to those evil b@stards (the eggs) that don't usually want to cooperate.  No clue. But, I'm not complaining!

And then the lovely cat decided to come in. He is a bit of a beggar. He has a sixth sense about food. He starts rubbing on your leg and then when he is certain there is something on the counter of interest he puts his paws up on the counter. Which is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoying. He usually gets kicked or something.  I have no patience for that!

I gave the beggar the milk from a bowl of cereal which he dove right into. But, I think he knew there was something better on the horizon (you know the sixth sense I was referring to.) Well, feeling overly generous I decided to give him my egg plate. He had ditched the milk bowl, leaving most of what was in there, in there and was waiting for me to donate my plate.

I wanted to get a picture of his face, but, he would not look up. So being the mean person that I am I took the plate away and got this:

Yeap. He's licking his chops because the egg remnant was so good. I did give the plate back after he cooperated and he proceeded to lick it clean. I could put the plate back into the cupboard and no one would be the wiser.

Everyone in my family is convinced that this cat would eat us if he could. You've seen that house security commercial where the family buys a panther instead of insurance. Well that would be our cat, if he were any larger. Not that he's mean, but, he has that look about him. I can't explain it.

I do see some resemblance...

Well that's it for this morning. Till next time.....

Salt & Vinegar Chips and Brussel Sprouts

After my last trip to Walmart and they had no Kettle Salt & Vinegar chips, I went to the more expensive Target. They only had one bag -- which I grabbed. But, they had some different varieties to try out.

Boulder Canyon - Malt Vinegar & Sea Salt. These weren't horrible like the other ones I tried. Just not vinegary enough. C#1 took a liking to them, so they won't be wasted.

Kettle - Krinkle Cut Sea Salt & Vinegar. These were actually good. Not great like the other Kettle regular chips, but, in a pinch they will do. Of course, these actually might be better, because I am not tempted to eat the entire bag. They are not as vinegary as the regular chips, but, definitely more vinegary than the Boulder Canyon brand.

Today when I was visiting my BFF, we tried this lovely brand of salsa.

I have bought this brand before in large can, but, that salsa was HOT! This was the first time I found medium. I thought it tasted great! And proceeded to eat too many Tostitos (and drink wayyyyyy to much coffee - per usual.)  I was impressed that all the ingredients were recognizable. Nothing funky. I will definitely be buying more of this!

And then there were brussel sprouts. In an effort to have a "different" vegetable, I roasted some sprouts. I thought they were pretty good with some hollandaise sauce. The rest of the family ---- not so much. They all revolted and refused to eat more than one bite. Soooooo, alas I asked my BFF if she liked brussel sprouts. Her response, "I like GOOD ones." I had no idea there were bad ones and good ones. I didn't realize how complicated brussel sprouts could be.

I brought them with me on my visit, to see if they were bad or good. My BFF proceeded to take a bite out of a raw one and declared they were good. Excellent news! I happily bequeathed them to her, since I knew no one at my house was going to eat them. AND I had leftovers from the previous night's fail to satisfy me. So there was no loss, since I didn't have to throw them away.

So there you have it. My salt and vinegar chip review and my take on brussel sprouts.

Till next time.....

Lamb Spiedies, Pina Coladas AND I saved almost $20 at Walmart!!

I started off the day with some crazy @ss hoarder shopping. And I spent way too much time at Walmart. I had ads from 5 different area stores and I am not very organized in finding the specific items.  The most awesome savings this week was General Mills cereal. One of the ads had a very NOT specific ad for GM cereal and bars. So, I made it my mission to pick many boxes of different varieties in hopes of making C#1 and C#2 very, VERY happy.  Let me just say mission accomplished.

Oh... And Gushers. Lots and lots of Gushers.  More than is pictured here. It looks like I won't have to buy cereal for a long, longgggggggggggg time. Although, C#1 eats cereal like it's going out of style. Another great thing about cereal is that the expiration date is usually many, many moons.  And yes, I do buy my children sugar laden cereal. I gotta keep the teachers on their toes!

My other fantastic save was almost .50 on cream cheese. 2 for $3 and it's usually 1.98 for one. WHOOOHOOO!  I also saved the same amount on 4 packages of Oreo's. Gotta love that!!

I then met my BFF at the local Olive Garden. It tasted great! Here is the aftermath.

We usually take the "before" pictures, but, everything was basically the same. We are both stuck in a rut at this joint.  Our waiter was really nice and even accepted a coupon, which made the lunch even better!!

Then I headed to Target to get some Kettle Salt and Vinegar chips. They only had one, yes ONE, bag!! UGHHHHHHH! I found another brand to "try" and will report on that at a later date. I need to stockpile those chips, the next time I see them. This is just ridiculous!!!

I wasn't too hungry for dinner, but, I already had a plan. Lamb spiedies and vegetable kabobs! I marinated the lamb in Lupo's Original Spiedie sauce for only one day and they tasted A-MAAA-ZINGGGGG!!  I bought a bag of small sweet peppers and a fresh bunch of mushrooms, which were great grilled.

And I had a fresh pineapple and a super easy recipe for super yummy pina coladas!! Party time at my house!!!!

Not really. But, the drinks and food were fantabulous!!

Now I need to fast for the rest of week and have salad with no dressing for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
NOT gonna happen.

Till next time....

Pot Luck Tuna Macaroni Salad.

This wonderful April day, it is supposed to be 80+ degrees and tonight's menu is hot dogs and tuna macaroni salad.  I still hadn't found a "good" recipe.  After fumbling through a couple of Mr. Food books
(with no luck), I discovered The Church Potluck Supper Cookbook by Elaine Robinson.

Ooooooo... Who doesn't love some potluck supper?!?  And yes, I am being slightly sarcastic. Back in the day when I frequented many a pot luck meal, my friends and I always had a solution to the questionable array of food.  We would scope out the plethora of weird looking casseroles and make a note of where "our family's dish" was. You know the "safe" food. If you've never been to a pot luck, imagine a buffet, but, you don't know where any of it came from. Kinda creepy!!!!  Sometimes the safest thing were the biscuits at the end of the table. Not very satisfying.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand.  In this particular cookbook there was a recipe for tuna salad for a sandwich filling.  I added 1.5 cups of dried (then cooked elbow macaroni), chopped onion and four eggs. And Viola!!! I finally have a workable, reference-able recipe!!! I am all about tweeking recipes, I just can't help myself.  Here is the final product:

I have to add the celery after, to my bowl, since some people in my humble abode don't like celery and are very adamant about it.  Tuna macaroni salad just isn't the same without some celery.  Just sayin'.

The bad thing about this salad is I am trying to work off my latest salt/vinegar chip and peanut butter cookie addiction and this clearly isn't going to help. I see some lettuce salad in my future. But, please reference the video link I posted a while ago. That is how it will be.

That's it for now. Till next time....

And this is what you get when the hubby reads the PB jar.

The BEST peanut butter cookies EVER! You know the ones that Mom always made and you weren't able to replicate (well I was never able to.)   And I even have the recipe to share --- well the link to the recipe that is:

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/jif-irresistible-peanut-butter-cookies/

I think I've eaten at least 6, probably, definitely more, but, I'm too embarrassed to count.  If you do make these cookies be sure to NOT overcook. They are supposed to be light, just set, doughy and full of yummy deliciousness.

And guess who isn't making dinner tonight?! ME! We had PB cookies for dinner. C#1 and C#2 are going to be sooooooo jealous!

Till next time...

"Cabin in the Woods" - NOT your average horror flick.

I am always up for a good horror movie and was excited to see the trailer for "Cabin in the Woods."

Let me just say the movie trailer is slightly deceiving.  You will not be seeing your "run of the mill" scary cabin story (Sorry no "Wrong Turn 4" here.) So just be aware....

But, what made it even MORE exciting was that fact that Joss Whedon had his hands in this one. I love, love, LOVEEEEEEE "Firefly" and "Serenity." And as I have mentioned "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" has a special place in my heart, too.

This movie is getting stellar reviews and they were well earned. I love how Joss Whedon and his co-workers can work humor into a usually humorless genre. That takes some serious skillzzz! Other fine examples of this are: "Firefly" and "Serenity" were sci-fi, western AND comedy. And "Buffy" was horror, monster, AND comedy. What's not to like?!?!

Some of the cast came from Joss Whedon's old shows, too. Mostly from "Dollhouse." Which was pretty sweet, too.

Anywhoooo, if you want to see a horror/bloodfest/comedy/weird but in a very good way flick, go see this! And make sure you watch it closely since there are lots of nods to other greats.

I won't say anything else, so as not to give anything away.

Till next time....

I have standards and these just don't cut it! And a movie review...

In my last adventure to Walmart I wanted to pick up some extra bags of my favorite Kettle Salt and Vinegar chips. But, alas, they had none. Booooooooooooooooooooooo! So, trying to be charitable, I decided to try a different brand.

My first clue that they weren't going to be up to par was the "40% Less Fat."  They were NOT good. I ate a few and have decided I will not be eating any more. Anyone want an almost full bag of chips. Anyone? Anyone? Well, I don't blame you, they suck.

And I also decided to try a "pop chip." "They" claim those chips are healthier than even the baked ones. Sure, sure.... But, okay. Desperate times, call for desperate measures. And so I tried these:

I must have been really hungry when I first tried them, because I thought they tasted okay. But, then I grabbed one this afternoon and they are total BLECHHHHHHHHHH!! Now I have two bags of gross chips to get rid of. I guess, I should see if anyone in my humble abode likes them. I think that is going to be highly unlikely.

Today, I watched the movie "That's What I Am" with my children.

This movie was about a bullying situation, set in 1965.  I was a little bit hesitant to watch it with them, since there were going to be references to homosexuality. I haven't had a thorough conversation with C#1 or C#2 about this and wasn't sure if today, should be the day.  Thankfully, it doesn't delve into the the topic, too much. There are no details given or anything like that.  Some of the "bad" reviews on this movie said that it came across like an "after school special." I thought it was better than that and it had a good message. It did bring up an interesting discussion with my children. It's not terribly exciting, but, it did keep my children's attention.  It probably helped that the main character is an 8th grader, which is close in age to C#1 and C
#2.  Of course there was some teenage smooching, which C#1 wasn't impressed with. And I made sure to tell him that girlfriends are overrated and too much work and you really should wait and kissing is overrated and whatever I could think of to make it sooooo not cool.  I don't think I am going to have an issue -- at least not yet. PHEW! Buttttt, I was that age once and, and, and..... Wellllll.. Let's not go there.

Well that is all that's on my agenda for the moment. I think we'll have tacos for dinner. I know you wanted to know.

Till next time....

Calgon take me away!

Today was a busy, busy, busy day. When I was scheduling C#2's April orthodontist appointment, I decided an extra early time would be great.  She would only miss morning classes, etc, etc. Except that her appointment was scheduled during spring break. Smooth move, Mom!

C#2 got to spend a couple days with her grandparents, so she was okay with it. C#1 had to be bounced out of bed.  Thankfully early morning traffic wasn't too bad. We made it in record time, even with a stop.  She got right into her appointment. My thinking was that she would be in and out. NOT so.... She had to have an upper teeth expander removed, new retainers fitted, x-rays and on and on. One hour and fifteen minutes later we were outta there!

I grabbed the Pennysaver on my way out the door (at home.) I was able to go through the ads while I waited and figure out what I needed to buy at Walmart and save even MORE money.  And I brought a book. This is a very good book and there is a show based on this very good book.

Yeap... The show is on HBO, which means it is all sorts of "bad."  But, it is sooooooooooo good. AND the book is so similar, which makes it soooooooooooo good, too!!

Anyway, back to my busy day. After suffering for 1+ hours at the orthodontist, we headed to my favorite store WALMART! I was highly impressed that I saved $14.13 with my other grocery store ads. WHHOOOOHOOO!! And the hubby pointed out that paid for the required gas to get there. Double WHOOOOOOO!!!  With gas at $4+ a gallon, every little bit helps.  I was so proud of myself. My biggest savings was 10 bags of Kraft shredded cheese at $1.99 each. I think they were $2.58 full price, so I did AWWWWESOME!!

I then dragged C#1 and C#2 to Sam's, then a consignment store, since C#2 saw some "really cute stuff" the previous day with her grandma. C#1 wasn't impressed, but, he had his game system and waited in the car.

AND another exciting save! There is a discount liquor store and I needed to buy some more Red Cat, for my new addiction. Anyway, I had three bottles of various alcoholic beverages and the cashier informed me that I was only one bottle away from MORE discount. So I grabbed another and saved a little over $6!! The Red Cat was $13.99 at the other, non-cheap liquor store and only $10.98 at this joint and I saved $6 MORE dollars.  How super cool, awesome is that?!?!?!!? Very super cool, awesome!

We then went out to lunch and then lastly to the town hall. We didn't get home until after 2:30pm. UGH!

Sooooooooooo...... After the orthodontist - Walmart - Sam's Club - Haircut joint - Liquor Store - Consignment Shop - Restaurant - Town Hall, I was beat!  And needing a Calgon moment, well at least a hot shower and a glass of wine or two or three....

And no, this wasn't Red Cat, that needs to chill -- duhhhhhhhh. And yes, I do have almost all of Mr. Food's cookbooks.

Well that's it for today. Till next time...

It's Breakfast Time!!!

I really need to get over breakfast, but, just this one last time, I promise (maybeeeeee.) Anywho, the lovely children (C#1, C#2 and friend) were bouncing around wanting breakfast. And what did they want?!?!?! WAFFLES! I made those the last time child #3 showed up, so she must have been impressed. I really slave over them. Pull out the egg, milk, and trusty box of Bisquick!! I am sooooooooooooo talented!  And here's what you get:

This (above) was just after I started, therefore only two waffles on the plate.

And this was the very last, slightly deformed waffle. I scraped the bowl down to the very last. I thought I might get to eat this one, until C#1 swooped in and was like, "MORE! MORE! MORE!" *Sigh* I guess it will be eggs for me, yet, again.

And it looks like they were a complete fail today.  But, alas, they weren't. Untilllllllllllll I tried to move them from the pan to my plate. And they turned into egg slop.  I was really good this time, too. I was standing over them, turning them, watching them, petting them, making sure they were happy and then they go and do this. I.CAN.NOT.WIN.

Onto a happier topic ---- COFFEE!!!  I finally polished off the International Delight Vanilla Creamer that I wasn't very fond of. It had a weird taste AND it has more calories than my trusty Coffee-Mate brand.  And I ran the dishwasher last night, so I could use my special "Buffy" cup, again. So now all is good in the world.

And that is it for right now. I have a bazillion packages to get together. Thursday was a very "buy happy" day on ebay. NOT that I am complaining.

Till next time.....

Oh! And I thought this was hilarious!

It kinda goes with the "D@mn the Carbs" blog.  Please be warned.... This girl has VERY colorful language. So if you are offended by (lots of) swear words, please do NOT watch it.

A big thanks to my SIL for posting this gem. Enjoy!

D@mn those carbs!!

Being the "good" wife I decided to make dessert AND freshly baked bread for tonight's enjoyment.  I don't usually make a habit of the bread thing, since I have zero patience for all the waiting and rising crap.  But, I did make that super delicious pretzel bread that needs minimal raise time. And after much harassing I made those oreo brownies. C#1's daily question, "Can I have some oreos?" Me says, "No, I need those for the brownies..." Repeat at least 7x's. And that is if he only asked once daily and he is persistent.  Here  are the final products:

Add some butter and a sprinkle of sea salt and oh my!!

Here's the Oreo brownie. I was trying to make it look "fancy" with crushed oreos on top. It didn't really work, but, it didn't mess up the taste!

I had to drink a glass of milk after eating this. Wow! It was sooooooooooooo rich!

And I must report that I had a "No-Fail"egg day. It was almost a scrambled mess, but, I didn't step away, so there was no extra cooking to the pan. YAY!

They were a teense overcooked (I might have been slightly distracted), but, at least their shape remained intact. AND please notice the very important cup of coffee.  A must, I must tell you!!!!!! And it should be noted that, that special cup came from the dearest hubby, who knows I enjoy "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." Yes, it's weird and corny and geeky and teeny boppery and all those things, but, I still like it (the show that is.)

And then there was Spike.......

It is amazing what you can find when you "google" something. I thought this was hysterical! I am not a Twilight hater, but, I would be okay with this. HAHAHHAAHHAHAA!!

That's it for now. Till next time..................

Focaccia Pizza, Apple Crisp and Red Cat!

On my last trip to Sam's I picked up a package of their "Artisan" garlic/herb focaccia bread. It smelled sooooooo good! Of course, what do I do with it besides just gorging on it's yummy goodness. Welllll... I made a chicken dish and decided it needed garlic cheese bread. I whacked the loaf in half, spread butter on it, sprinkled some Parmesan cheese and freshly shredded mozzarella. The hubby grabbed it first and said, "Focaccia pizza!"  AHA! I guess that is, what it is. And it was soooooooooooo delicious, too! I did notice at a local cafe they recently advertised for "new" focaccia pizza.  It is so easy to make and it tastes amazing. Everyone loved it!

I also had a request to make apple crisp, since there was as bag of apples on the kitchen counter.  I found a recipe for "Apple Brown Betty" in one of my dessert cookbooks and decided to make that. I put it in a 10x13 pan and this was all that was left and only three of us had any. I will say that was a huge success!

And in my continued search for other "sweet" wines, I finally stumbled upon Red Cat. I know this has probably been around for a million years, but, I never had any.  I ordered a glass at a local restaurant and it was delicious! I recently bought some at the liquor store and the hubby and I sucked it down in only a few days. Yeap! We are a couple of wine-os!  Thankfully I bought TWO bottles (and yes, they are huge...)  I haven't tried the White Cat, but, the hubby says it's good.

And last but not least -- my breakfast fail. I have a stainless steel pan that I love, but, there is an art to actually using it.  I have a gas stove and it either is hot or REALLY hot. And I may have stepped away from the kitchen for too many minutes (those darn emails).  Here is this morning's egg debacle:

One scrambled mess, because it burned to the bottom of the pan and one semi save. And of course, the trusty cup of coffee. No breakfast is complete without it!!
