My movie thoughts and a story about my car...

I saw the movie "Water for Elephants" Monday night, with two of my BFFs. We got take out at a cute little cafe called "Nezuntoz", pronounced "knees 'n toes" like the "Head and shoulders" song (if you aren't a parent, you may not know what I mean...) We got to the movie about 5 minutes before it started, but, the beautiful thing about having a friend who lives right next door to the theater and it being Monday, is that we still got excellent seats.  I also had artery clogging, "layered" movie popcorn, which was delicious. It has been a while since I've been to the movies, so it was a must. Anyway, we all enjoyed the movie. It strayed a little bit from the book, but, nothing that detracted from the story. It was kind of a chick flick, but, I think a guy would probably like it, at least a little. Robert and Reese were great, too!   This will definitely be a movie that I will be picking up on dvd.

Onto the story about my car. I was shopping at Walmart and when I came out of the store I noticed one of my tires had gone soft. When I went to check the air pressure I noticed that the tire would not stop hissing out air. I drove over to the more spacious Sam's Club lot and proceeded to fill it with my air compressor. It was really low, so while waiting I called the hubby and then my dad, trying to get a hold of someone who might now what to. But, alas, neither of them was reachable. I knew I had a problem, after switching off the compressor and the air kept coming out.  THEN it dawned on me that Sam's has a tire center. After doing my necessary shopping I went to the tire center and presented the tire guy with my dilemma. He jokingly said it would be $49.95 to fix. I was like, "Really?" But, he appeared to be joking - at least I hoped. After he took my info, I drove the car around back. The tire guy was already out there with another vehicle - lucky me! He was nice enough to take my key and get my car in immediately! I went back into Sam's club and sat on the waiting benches outside of the tire area. I wasn't there more than a minute and the tire guy came out and said he was done.  He said that something in the stem of the tire was loose and just needed to be tightened with this itty bitty tool. AND there was no charge! WHOOHOOO!! I just loved that!! Immediate emergency tire service and no charge to boot!! I totally understand it was an easy fix, but, was just pleased that he didn't take advantage.  I give 5*'s to Sam's Club for that!

Today I also watched the movie "Easy A" with a friend. I have seen this movie a bunch of times and LOVE it every time!!! I can't explain why. It just cracks me up and I could watch it over and over and laugh and laugh. If I had a teenager though, I wouldn't be comfortable with them watching it, even though it is PG-13. I would however watch it with them as a learning tool, when I thought they could handle a movie on that subject matter.  But, thankfully I have at least a few years to figure that out..... Help me (!!!) when that time comes!!!

Right now we (the hubby and I) are watching "The Weather Channel" and watching some nasty tornadoes rip into the states down south. It's pretty intense!! Hopefully we are missed -- even though we are in a tornado watch area.... EEEEK!!!

That's all for now and hopefully I have good weather news to report the next time I blog.... Later!
