Potato Seed Pods - Who Knew?

I was doing my daily stroll through the garden and I noticed that there were very odd pods on the potato plants.

I immediately googled this and found out that it is actually a "thing." Apparently these are used to make different types of potatoes. Here is a good link with all sorts of information. https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/potato/true-potato-seed-growing.htm

I do plan on saving them and maybe try to grow potatoes from seed.  Although I have read that is very hard and not all that satisfying.

But, the main thing to remember is that you don't eat these pods! They look like cherry tomatoes, but, they can be deadly poisonous.

Till next time and hopefully it won't be three years......
